A weak signal will suddenly disappear. What does this mean?
D-STAR is a digital system, this means that you will receive a very clear signal until the signal has to many digital "errors". Once a certain threshold of "Bit Error Rates" is reached, the radio can no longer decode and the audio cuts out. This is true of all digital communications systems.
